Cherie Elaine Whybrew, 65 of Mishawaka, passed away on August 18, 2021 at her residence. She was born on September 19, 1955 to the late Jack and Ada (Sund) Morris in Mishawaka, IN. Cherie enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. She was an amazing cook, known best for her macaroni salad and lasagna. Cherie was a CNA/Caregiver at Creekside in Mishawaka, and not only loved and took amazing care of her family but also of everyone she came in contact with. She loved and treated her patients as if they were family. Sometimes she was their family when they had none.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip Whybrew; 2 sons, William (Jennifer) and Jeremiah (Lisa) Derringer; her daughter, Carrie (Jon) Difranco; her brother, Phillip (Sandy) Morris; her sister, Rexanne (Donald) Stretch; 8 grandchildren, Emma and Zach Derringer, Grace Gower, Savanna and Evangeline Difranco, London and Brody Derringer and Austin Ross.
In addition to her parents, Cherie was preceded in death by her 2 sisters, Sandy Navar and Cindy Morris. Per Cherie's wishes there is no formal funeral, but the family will have a Celebration of her life gathering and all are welcome to come and celebrate Cherie's amazing life and please bring stories and pictures.
A Celebration of Cherie's life will be from 12PM- 6PM on September 19th, 2021 at Castle Manor at Merrifield Park 801 N Indiana Ave Mishawaka, In 46544
