Granger - Cheryl Marie Burris, age 71, of Granger passed away peacefully at her home on August 1, 2024, with her family at her side.

Cheryl was born on December 3, 1952, to Arthur and Wanda Smith, in South Bend, Indiana. Cheryl was a graduate of Penn High School, Class of 1971.  She was preceded in death by a brother Dwight Smith.

Cheryl met Ron Burris 55 years ago at Living Waters Missionary Church Camp and have celebrated 52 years of marriage.  She owned and operated a day care home where she has served multiple generations. She loved her church, Granger Missionary, where she a vital part of the small group community and was a Sunday School Teacher and helped in Kid's Church.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Burris of the home, a son Brian and his wife Pam Burris of South Bend, her sister Pam Wetzel of Mishawaka, and two grandchildren Michael Burris and Gabby Burris of South Bend.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Granger Missionary Church with Pastor Jason Dickinson officiating.
