Niles, MI – Cheryl Anne (Briggs) Holland, 71, took the hand of Jesus and passed away from this earth on October 29, 2026.

Cheryl was born on February 19, 1955, in South Bend, Indiana, to Richard A. Briggs and the late Joan Marie (Burkett) Briggs. She was a proud graduate of Penn High School, Class of 1973.

Cheryl met the love of her life, Ronnie “Dale” Holland, and they were married on April 5, 1975. Together, they shared many wonderful years of marriage and created a lifetime of cherished memories. Dale preceded her in death on June 8, 2024. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ricky Briggs.

She is survived by her father, Richard A. Briggs; brothers, Ronald (Jackie) Briggs and Robert (Melody) Briggs; sister, Melissa (Jeff) Tolbert; sisters-in-law, Julie Briggs, Nancy Holland, Barb Livingston, Jeannie Horne, and Becky (John) Holland-High; cousin, Vicki (James) Stabnik; and numerous nieces and nephews, with whom she shared close and loving relationships. Cheryl also leaves behind her very special neighbors, John and Irene Dawson, to whom the family is deeply grateful for their kindness, companionship, and loving care. She will also be missed by numerous other friends and associates.

Cheryl had a deep love for her family and her faith. She enjoyed watching New Life Church services online and found great joy in gardening and creating beautiful things with her hands. Her many artistic interests included making jewelry, sun charms, beaded creations, and other arts and crafts. Cheryl and Dale lived in Colorado for many years before recently returning to the Michiana area.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 13, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m., all at New Life Church, 11593 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561 in Osceola, Indiana, with Reverend Mike Cramer officiating.

Cheryl will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Dale, at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka in a private ceremony.
