Mishawaka, IN- Cheryl K. Kent, age 74, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2018 at Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart. She was born October 4, 1944 in Gary, Indiana to the late Robert and Laura Lee Soder. Cheryl was raised in Gary and graduated from Horace Mann High School. On January 23, 1965 Cheryl married Bruce Kent and with this happy union was blessed with 3 sons. She enjoyed painting, gardening, poetry, shopping with her sisters, fishing, bowling, and spending time with family.

Cheryl K. Kent is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bruce Kent of Mishawaka, IN; sons, Doug (Bridgett) Kent of South Bend, IN, Roger Kent of Mishawaka, IN and Dwayne (Rachel) Kent of Osceola, IN; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Robert) Bigelow of Merrillville, IN, Barbara (David) Moon-Telschow of Valparaiso, IN and Connie (Marshall) Newell of Gilbert, AZ; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
