Cheryl C. Kirts, 64, of Bristol, passed away at 9:00 am, Sunday, April 25, 2010 in Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis after a lengthy illness. Cheryl was born on October 5, 1945 in Elkhart to the late Charles and Mary (Smith) Mishler. On August 12, 1995, she married Thomas Kirts, who passed away on August 23, 2008.
Cheryl worked as a secretary for many years at Eclipse and Van Express before her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion Post 143 and the Cass County Conservation Club. She will be remembered for her love of the Indianapolis Colts, the Food Network, making wreaths and being a NASCAR fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Stewart of Osceola and two step children, Kimberly Kirts of Bristol and Thomas L. (Tracy) Kirts, Jr. of Elkhart. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm, Thursday, April 29, 2010 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola with a funeral service to be held at 6:00 pm. Cremation rites will follow.
