Christine Ann Jones, 74, passed away peacefully at home with family on May 9, 2023. Christine was born on November 12, 1948 in Elkhart, Indiana to Charles and Betty (Flauding) Eger.
After completing her education, Christine settled down and started a family of her own in Constantine, Michigan. A devoted spouse and a loving mother to her three children, she took great joy and pride in caring for her family and was known for her selflessness and generosity. Her love of family was most evident in the adoration and affection she had for her grandchildren. Quality time to her was any time spent with family and she especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up and participate in sports. She was a fierce advocate for animal rights and rescued many dogs during her life, while also providing them with a loving home; most recently Bo was always by her side.
Despite years of battling various illnesses, Christine had a relentless positive spirt, an infectious laugh and endless energy that brightened the lives around her. She loved bringing people together to celebrate holidays and any significant milestone. Gatherings would involve hours of board games and euchre with Christine singing off-key to her favorite oldies music. She was known for being the life of the party and endeavored to make everyone feel welcome and loved.
Christine is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Robert Bruce Jones III, her son Shane and daughter-in-law Nikole (Newby) of Constantine, Michigan, her daughter Krista and son-in-law Adam Aufdencamp of Chicago, Illinois, her daughter Deanna and son-in-law David Sieggreen of Vandalia, MI, her grandchildren Kole, Kolin, Kailee, Kaitlyn, Dylan, Liam, Tenley, Ava and Emma, and her brother Cliff Eger of White Pigeon, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Betty Eger, her brother Charles (Chuckie) Eger, and her sisters Carolyn Bienz and Cyndi Lewis.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00pm on Thursday May 18, 2023 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Services will follow at 12:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of the United States in memory of Christine.
