Clarence D. James, 81, of Osceola, died Sunday October 2, 2016 at the Center for Hospice in Elkhart. The Peterborough, Ontario native was born June 29, 1935 to Clarence E. & Muriel (Hunter) James. On December 31, 1960, he married Shirley Jackett in Fenelon Falls, Ontario. Clarence has been a local resident for 51 years, coming from Labrador, Newfoundland, was a member of First Baptist Church in Elkhart and has retired from sales with Shaum Electric. In addition to his parents, Clarence was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert James. He is survived by Shirley James, his wife of 55 years and their children, Troy James of South Bend, Tracy (James) Newlin of Diana TX, Tonya James of Sydney, AU, Terry (Jeff) Burrell of Crown Point, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
