Obituary

Clarence Albert Vogt, age 88, of South Bend, passed away on March 22, 2016 at 11:00 PM at home surrounded by his family. He was born November 2, 1927 to Albert Fred and Ruth Signora (Johnson) Vogt in Chicago, IL. On August 16, 1960, Clarence married Marie Goldie Minder. She preceded him in death. Clarence was a furniture mover and owned his own business-Proud Moving. Mr. Vogt was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed building and restoring homes, and spending time with his family. Clarence is survived by his children, Daniel Ray Vogt and John Albert (Dawn Marie) Vogt both of South Bend, and Cindy Sue Juhasz of Mishawaka; five grandchildren, Lisa Marie Banks of South Bend, Jennifer Rose (Dale Louis) Bartel of Mishawaka, Michelle Jean (Victor) Robles of South Bend, Cindy Juhasz and Crystal Juhasz both of Lincolnton, GA; nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie; his son, James Fredrick Vogt; and four brothers and a sister. No services are planned at this time. A private cremation committal will take place at Riverview Crematory with burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are directed to the American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Dr., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
