Clarice Dean Deforest, age 86, passed away on January 25, 2016 at Signature Health Care of South Bend. She was born April 23, 1929 to Howard and Margaret (Baumgarner) Musick in Cleveland, Virginia. After graduating High School, Dean married Paul Honaker, also from Virginia. They moved to Indiana to find work. This is where they raised their family. Dean enjoyed spending time at the beach, watching her programs, planting flowers and gardening. She loved playing Rummy and Aggravation with her grandchildren. Dean was a member of the VFW with Paul. She worked at Burcliff Industries for years. She loved to go dancing and became a huge Elvis fan. She moved to Niles, MI and joined the American Legion and then became a huge Irv Cass fan, a local Elvis impersonator. In her latter years she moved back to Mishawaka, Indiana and remained there til a few years ago when she became a resident of Signature Health Care. Dean is survived by her children, Laura Lee (Aaron) Nelson of Niles, MI and Michael Paul Honaker of Ladson, SC. Three grandchildren, Kristy Honaker, Brandy Love and Lindsey Scott, six great-grandchildren, Alexis and Austin Love, Hailey Jastrzembski, Jaylen, Dyllan, and Keaton Kincaid. She was preceded in death by her ex husband Paul, her parents and her siblings. Agnes, Beulah, (Bootsie), Pauline, James, Bill, Kyle and Earl. She was the 7th child out of her siblings. Per her wishes there are no services planned.
