Elkhart – Clementine Niggebrugge, 91, passed away at 12:55pm on Thursday, March 12, 2020 in Elkhart General Hospital.

Clementine was born on December 1, 1928, in Cheribon, Indonesia, to the late Louis and Georgine (Matern) Pieplenbosch. Clementine was also preceded in death by her husband, Ivor Niggebrugge; son-in-law, Richard Fischer; 4 sisters; and Clementine, her great-granddaughter.

Clementine is survived by her daughters, Irene "Lani" Fischer, Irmghard Niggebrugge, Ilona (Marvin) Fann, and Ivette "Tammy" (Bruce) Hill; sons, Ivor and Ingmar Niggebrugge; special friend of the family, Mike Hyndman; 10 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 step-great-grandchildren.

In 1959 Clementine and Ivor moved to The Netherlands with their children and in July of 1969 the family immigrated to Elkhart, Indiana. Clementine enjoyed knitting, sewing, listening to music, and crossword puzzles. She had a green thumb and had lots of plants.  Her children will remember her as the "Best Cook Ever!" Everyone knew not to call Clementine at 7pm on Saturday evening because she will be watching Lawrence Welk.

Visitation will be 4-6pm on Monday, March 16, 2020 in CHAPEL HILL FUNERAL HOME, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561.  A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday.
