Clinton Randolph
Wood

Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens
Starts at 10:00 am (Eastern time)
Clinton Randolph Wood, of Elkhart, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 5, 2026, following a courageous battle with a recent illness. Surrounded by the love of his family at Esther's House, Center for Hospice Care, he entered into eternal rest.
Clinton was born on October 8, 1951, in Elkhart, Indiana, to the late Marvin and Gladys (Rose) Wood. He graduated from Elkhart Central High School with the Class of 1969 before being drafted into the United States Army, where he proudly served his country.
On June 26, 1976, Clinton married the love of his life, Deborah Myers. Together they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and unwavering devotion to one another. He was also the proud owner of Falcon Carpets, where he was well known for his hard work, integrity, and the relationships he built with customers and the community.
Clinton is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Wood; his children, Benjamin (Cassy) Wood and Lindsey (Shaun) Jacquez; his cherished grandsons, Walker and Anderson, who brought him immense joy; his sisters, Carol Moyer and Judy Zilm; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and business associates who will miss him greatly.
Above all else, Clinton loved the Lord. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he found fellowship through Riverside Bible Church and Solid Rock (New Life) Ministries. He was a man who lived his beliefs through kindness, dedication, and love for his family.
Clinton had a personality that was impossible to forget. A lifelong Ford enthusiast—especially when it came to Mustangs—he firmly believed that only Ford vehicles belonged in his driveway, and anyone who parked something else there could expect a little good-natured teasing. In his younger years, he enjoyed spending time on the golf course, and throughout his life he loved being outdoors. He also had a fascination with Bigfoot and never missed an opportunity to watch a documentary in search of new "evidence." Many evenings found him relaxing with classic Western movies and television shows, which remained among his favorite pastimes.
More than anything, Clinton will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, a caring brother, and a faithful friend. His quiet strength, steadfast faith, sense of humor, and deep love for his family leave a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Veterans Garden at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Indiana, where military honors will commemorate his service and he will be laid to rest.
Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, IN is entrusted with arrangements.
