Cora Alice (Brown) Wilder, 91, of South Bend, entered into eternal rest on February 9, 2022. She was born on July 2, 1930 to the late Ella Belle and Albert Brown in Cache, IL. Cora was a fabulous cook who made wonderful southern style meals and pasta dishes. She would often put more sugar in her sweet tea than there was actual tea. Cora's life was centered around the Lord and she always enjoyed sharing her faith with those around her. She loved living her best life and being in the warm Florida sun was her happy place.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Edwin Wilder; son, Patrick Alan; brothers, Albert William Brown, Junior Webster Brown, and Frank Eugene Brown; sister, Florence Jane (Brown) Dettenbach; and nephew, Eugene Brown McKee.
Cora is survived by her daughters, Mary Lou (Denny) Merritt, Pamela (Garry) Potts, and Karen (Jim) Byrne; sons, Michael and Timothy (Debbie) Wilder; sister, Hattie Leland (Brown) McKee; nieces, Gloria Vaughn, Beverly Simmons, and Cona Nanney; nephew, David Brown; dear friend, Debbie Wilder; grandchildren, Dennis, Douglas (Ann), Natalie (Christopher), Garry (Jennifer), Kevin (Sarah), Kristy, Ashley (Allan), Tabitha, Mary Ann (Greg), Amanda (Mike), Michelle (Paul), Mack, Adam (Robin), Krystal (Carlos), Nick, Kelly (Anthony), Stephanie (Austin); great-grandchildren, Aaron, Amelia, Noah, Ivy, Keegan, Nicholas, Benjamin, Olivia, Ellison, Kevin, Kyra, Avery, Evan, Dominick, Jared, Bailey, Serenity, Blake, Chloe, Brady, Nico, Cole, Danielle, Milly, John, Lucy, Mickey, Paul Jr., and Cole.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM with the Funeral Service to follow immediately after at 2:00 PM at Apostolic Temple Church, 2221 Ironwood Dr., South Bend, IN 46613. Burial will follow on a later date in Bushnell National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Memorial contributions can be made to Apostolic Temple Church. Services have been entrusted to Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
