Obituary

Curtis Edward Turner, 61, of Niles, MI, passed away on April 7, 2020. He was born to parents Earnest Turner and Esther Turner, on May 8, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri.  Curtis was preceded in death by his Father, Earnest Turner, Sr.; Brother, Phillip Turner, Sr.; and Nephew, Philip Turner, Jr.

Curtis is survived by his children, Curtis Jr, Ashley, Amber Turner, Bianca & Elizabeth Vann; five siblings; and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.

He graduated from Southeast High School KCMO in 1977. He went on to study General Studies/Business Management at University of Kansas for a few years. He then went on to make his own accomplishments moving up to superintendent for AM General. He enjoyed Fishing, Youth Mentoring, being a Father, and Cars. Some would say he was most passionate on giving advice to youth on how to achieve their goals both short term and long.

Curtis and Elizabeth S Turner married on October 2, 1992 in Tarrant, Texas. Together they raised 3 children: Elizabeth & Bianca Vann & James Cristello. The family has entrusted Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home with the arrangements. With the current state of the world, the family will not have a funeral at this time. A later date will be set for a celebration of life. He will rest in his space next to his wife Elizabeth Turner inside Chapel Hill's Garden.

He will be deeply missed by those who lives he changed. Most remembered for his love of Sunday dinners and pop quiz questions to the youth around him.  As Curtis would say "It is what it is". Rest In Peace.
