IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dale Arthur
Fish
October 25, 1961 – October 20, 2025
Dale Arthur Fish, 63, of Granger, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, at Raclin House in Mishawaka. Born on October 25, 1961, at the Great Lakes Naval Base in North Chicago, Illinois, Dale was raised in Bremen, Indiana.
After graduating from high school, Dale proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he trained as a medic and was stationed in West Berlin. His time in Europe and North Africa sparked a lifelong love of travel. He served both on active duty and in the reserves for over a decade.
Dale earned degrees in ministry and nursing from Bethel University in Mishawaka. He first served as a youth pastor in the Missionary Church, where he guided and mentored countless young people with patience, faith, and his signature sense of humor. Later, he followed a calling to nursing, building a career in home health care where he was known for his compassionate care, dedicated service, and endless supply of dad jokes. Even after becoming a nurse, Dale remained deeply involved in youth ministry, volunteering for many years as a youth sponsor. He was always ready to lend a listening ear, chaperone a retreat, or lead a game with joyful enthusiasm.
An adventurous soul, Dale especially loved family vacations to Walt Disney World, where he could often be found riding roller coasters and enjoying Dole Whips with childlike joy. Disney World was truly his "happiest place on Earth."
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carrie; his daughters, Lizzie Sayer (Jonny) of Nappanee and Sarah Claeys (Andrew) of Granger; and his cherished grandchildren, Everly and Bennett Claeys. He is also survived by his brothers, John Fish of Parrish, Florida, and Keith Fish (Diane) of Union, Ohio.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bernice Fish; his in-laws, James and Betty Bennett; and his sister-in-law, Pamela Fish.
A man of deep faith, Dale was a devoted member of Beulah Missionary Church in Goshen, Indiana. He will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, quick wit, and enduring joy.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Beulah Missionary Church in Goshen from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life service to follow. A dinner will be served following the service, and all are welcome to stay and share memories of Dale. In honor of his vibrant personality and love of humor, guests are encouraged to wear prints and colors.
Memorial contributions may be made to Prairie Camp, a place that held a special place in Dale's heart.
