Obituary

Dale J. Miller, 86, of Elkhart died Tuesday July 29, 2014. The Bremen native was born July 5, 1928 and graduated from Bremen High School with the Class of 1946. Dale was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving as a tank driver in the Armored Infantry. He was a member of the American Legion for many years. He retired from Fruehauf Corp in 1992 after 38 years of employment, later working at American Technology until 2000. Dale was a member of Elkhart Church of Christ, serving as a deacon for several years; he was a family man and a man of faith; he enjoyed his garden and was an avid fan of Notre Dame, the Cubs and the Bears. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Pauline Miller, his first wife, Dolores (Snow) Miller; brother, Paul Miller and sister, Eileen Curtis. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda L. (Smith) Miller of Elkhart; his children, David L. (Rosie) Miller of Mishawaka, Donna Littlepage of Elkhart and Douglas K. Miller of Osceola; grandchildren, Maria (Trevor) Gochenour and Divine Miller, both of Elkhart and his great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Jenna, Jersey and Jordan. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 Friday August 1, 2014 in the Chapel at Hubbard Hill, 28070 CR24, Elkhart, where friends may call two hours prior to services.
