Dale Henry Tulowetzke, 83, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.  Dale was born May 16, 1935 in Milbank, South Dakota.  He was the 3rd of 6 children.  He lived in Milbank until January of 1956 when he enlisted in the Air Force.  He was stationed for 2 years at Ashiya Air Base in Japan when he me Aya.  They were married by civil ceremony on August 26, 1958 in the American Consul Building in Fukuoka, Japan.  After he was discharged from the Air Force, he and Aya moved to Elkhart, Indiana.  He was employed by Bayer Laboratories for 38 years.  Dale and Aya had one daughter, Dianna and son-in-law Rick Kuczmanski.  He and Aya loved to vacation.  They took quite a few trips to Florida with their daughter among other trips in their motor home.  Dale and Aya were married 52 years.  Aya preceded him in death in July of 2010.

Dale met Jean Herrmann and together they moved to Mesa, Arizona in August of 2011.  Dale enjoyed woodworking.  He had his own workshop in his basement in Elkhart and made many projects and gifts throughout his lifetime.  He also loved gardening by always keeping things pristine.  After moving to Mesa, to a resort park, he took up shuffleboard, which he enjoyed, and would always have stories to tell.  Dale is survived by 2 brothers, John and George Tulowetzke; 2 sisters, Verna Reiners and Donna Kasuske.  He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer and his mother, Marie; and a younger brother, Thomas.  Dale was cremated at Mountain View Funeral Home in Mesa, Arizona and will be transported to Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Indiana where there will be a memorial service and he will be placed in a niche with Aya.
