Dallas E. Glassburn, 81, of South Bend, IN passed away on Tuesday Nov. 28, 2023 at home.  He was born in South Bend, IN on July 3, 1942 to Dallas F. and Vada (Miller) Glassburn.  He married Carol A. (Brock) on June 17, 1970.  She preceded him in death on Oct. 16, 2010.

Dallas is survived by 1 son: Christopher (Jesse McRae) Glassburn; daughters: Paula (Horace Sr) Riley, and Theresa Fennessee; 3 Grandchildren: Nakita Glassburn, Horace Riley Jr and Marces Riley Sr ; 11 Great-Grandchildren: Darianna, Darious Jr, Da'Nayzia, Darious  Jr, Na'Kayzia, Da'Razioun, Na'Zyer, Na'Zylen, Chozen, Narmer and Marces Jr.  He also leaves 2 brothers, Lester and Terry Glassburn, and several bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren to cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents; sister Margaret Collings; special son Chris Erlacher; 2 grandchildren and special friend Linda Barns.

Mr. Glassburn honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam.  He was on the Clay Twp. Fire Dept. for 25 years and the Warren Twp. Fire Dept. for 3 years.  He was a member of ABATE of Michiana and Goldwing Road Riders.

Friends may visit with the family from 11-1 PM on Thursday Dec. 7, 2023 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKInley Hwy.  Osceola, IN 46561.  A Funeral Service to honor his life will begin at 1 PM.  Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
