Dalton C. Goff, age 87, of Osceola, passed away on June 5, 2016 at 11:20 AM in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, IN. He was born June 18, 1928 to Nollie and Lydia (Hawkins) Goff in Wakarusa, IN. In 1946, Dalton married Florence Joan McAleer. She preceded him in death in 1997. He then married Linda Lou Barton on January 31, 1998 and she survives. Mr. Goff worked for Federal Press for many years. He was a member of the Cedar Road Missionary Church and enjoyed fishing, camping, archery, and bowling. Dalton is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Wayne (Debbie) Goff of Osceola, and Sherry (Ron) Baker of Mishawaka; two stepsons, John (Jill) Lancaster of Bristol, and Eddie (Angie) Lancaster of Elkhart; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Leatrice Baugher. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Florence Goff; brothers, Darwin and Marvin; and a sister, Nolleen Strycker. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 12-2 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 2 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Sonnerburg officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
