Daniel B. Edelman, 69, of Mishawaka, died Wednesday, November 7, 2012. The Elkhart native was born June 13, 1943, to Clarence J. and Anna L. (Fosdick) Edelman; both have preceded Dan in death. He married Judith Lidecker in South Bend on November 4, 1962. Dan was a barber at Eddie's Barber Shop in South Bend; then in his own shop, Dan's Barber Shop in Elkhart, and was a member of Granger Commons. In addition to his parents, Dan was also preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Edelman.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Judy Edelman; sons, Scott (Pam) Edelman of Osceola and Steve (Darlene) Edelman of Elkhart; daughter, Tref Chupp of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Brandon (Lily) Edelman, Bret Edelman, Bryant Edelman, Heather Edelman, David Chupp and Ryan Chupp; step-grandson, Mark Taylor; great-grandchildren, Ethan Lyon, Ahren, Braelon and Charity Edelman; step-great-grandchildren, Alex Mitchell and Alexis Taylor; sisters, Jocelyn Basse of Marquette, MI, and Doris Nuenschwander of Elkhart.

Graveside committal services will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 10776 McKinley Highway. Arrangements through Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The family's preferred memorials are the Humane Society of St. Joseph Co., 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka IN 46530; the American Heart Association , 6100 W. 96th St., Indianapolis IN 46278; or the American Lung Association , 115 W.
