Darlyne Josie Sweezy

May 08, 1948 – February 22, 2024

Darlyne Sweezy 75, of Elkhart, Indiana passed away on February 22, 2024.  She is survived by her daughters Karyn (Timothy) Jones, Lynda (Mike) Fergison and step daughter Denise Peterson and her family; a brother Darwin (Jeanne) Longieliere; a sister Angela Longieliere; grandchildren Danielle, Kayden and Bryce.

Darlyne was preceded in death by her parents Francis & Dorotha (Norris) Longieliere; her husband C. Clifford Sweezy; a step son Orville Sweezy and his surviving family, and a brother Darryl (Lee) Longieliere.

She was a 1966 graduate of Jimtown High School and she loved her dogs and cats.  She also enjoyed caring for Darryl's horses.  She adored her grandkids and always did everything she could for them.  She loved people and helping them, especially taking them to appointments. She was a hard worker and worked right up until the very end.  Mostly she loved her family.

Visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home to celebrate her wonderful life. A short funeral service will be held on Friday, March 01, 2024 at 1:30 pm with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
