Saturday, April 17th, 2021, loving husband, father and grandfather, Darryl Lee Anderson went to be with the Lord at the age of 57.
Born May 26, 1963, to Walter C and Beverly A (Bernstorff) Anderson, Jr.
Proceeded in death by son Christopher Lee Anderson. Grandparents Walter C and L'Nora M (Warner) Anderson, Sr. Fred H and Lola I (Keiser) Bernstorff.
Survived by his wife Beth R (Maddack) Anderson and son Ryan K (Alyssa) Anderson. Grandchildren Donavon Phillips, Mia and Oliver Anderson. Parents Walter and Beverly Anderson, Jr. Mother-in-law Norma (Stringham) Maddack. Sister Denise (Bob) Wolfe. Brothers Scott (Barb) Anderson and Del (Roxy) Smallwood. Brothers-in-law Donald (Janice) Maddack, Russell (Kathy) Cain, David (Jill) Maddack. Nieces and nephews Cassie (Michael Eleftheri) Wolfe, Kyle (Kristina Billie) Wolfe, Caitlyn Rogers and Travis Anderson, Amber (Nathan) Lacher, Brooke (Anthony) Norgan, Rachel (Eric) DeBuysser, Lauren and Nick Cain, Bekah, Sarah, Emma and David Maddack and great nieces and nephews.
Received an Associate Degree in Supervision with Purdue and was a Journeyman Machinist. Loved making working parts out of a block of metal.
Darryl was a hunter and an avid collector of sports memorabilia.
Fan of Racing, White Sox, Bears, Blackhawks and Purdue. Loved having conversations regarding Sox/Cubs and Bears/Green Bay Packers rivalries with Cassie, Brooke and Kathy Phillips.
Darryl will be remembered for his great love for family and friends, his wit and orneriness. And, of course, his ability to make you laugh no matter the situation.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 24th from 2-3 and service at 3. First Christian Church, 495 S Indiana Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307. In lieu of flowers, please consider financial contributions to help with medical costs. Checks can be made out to Beth and sent to the church.
