Before retiring to Florida, he was a lifelong resident of Osceola, IN. He was owner of DDW Automotive for over 20 years. As a kid he and his brothers would sneak into the Osceola Dragway which began his love of drag racing and car shows. He was a member of IHRA. He enjoyed working on his "toys" but his favorite part was restoration. Dave was a mechanic all his life and there was nothing he couldn't fix. He also enjoyed camping, traveling, riding his Harley, campfires, cookouts but mostly spending time with family. He was a teacher, mentor, inventor, builder, fabricator, and advisor – a person could learn a lot from him, they just had to listen.
