Obituary

David Robert Breuer, age 47 of Mishawaka, went to his eternal home to worship his Heavenly Father forever on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at King''s Canyon National Park in Fresno, California. David died doing what he loved to do best: loving his wife and mentoring his daughters, while experiencing life to the fullest. David was born December 26, 1965 in Normal, Illinois. David was a graduate of Normal Community High School, class of 1984, and obtained his Bachelors degree in Economics from Illinois State University in 1989, where he served as the Vice Chairman of the Academic Senate. On June 25, 1994, he married the former Ms. Linda Sullivan in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Linda survives, along with their daughters Rachel, Sarah and Amy Breuer, all of Mishawaka. David is also survived by his parents James and Ruth Breuer of Bloomington, Illinois, and his brothers Kevin (Heather) Breuer of Sycamore, Illinois, and Gary (Kelly) Breuer of Aurora, Illinois. David is also survived by his in-laws, John & Jean Sullivan of West Lafayette, Indiana, and his brothers in law Keith Sullivan of Fairfax, Virginia and Kevin Sullivan of San Diego, California.

Visitation will be held from 3-7 pm Saturday, June 29, 2013 at St. Mark Missionary Church, 55240 Bittersweet Road, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545 and one hour prior to the 2:30 pm funeral service at St. Mark Missionary on Sunday, June 30, 2013 with Rev. John Gregory officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

David was a longtime Certified Financial Planner and was currently the Managing Partner at Guidance Wealth Financial Services in Elkhart. He was a longtime member of the St. Mark Missionary Church where he taught Sunday school for adults and middle school teens, was active in small groups as a leader, and along with his wife Linda, served for many years as the children''s Bible quiz team coach. He and his family were also involved with several mission trips to South America, and were planning a mission trip to Europe later this summer.

David was full of life and laughter, and will be remembered for his leadership by example, his outgoing character, and his ability to teach through listening and encouragement. His devotion to his family, his faith, and those he served as a financial planner will be forever remembered. David found the time to balance work and home life, and loved traveling, spending time outdoors camping, and enjoying the quiet moments at home with his wife and daughters.
