Obituary

David John Fraser, 47, died suddenly on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center after a massive heart attack. The South Bend native was born February 28, 1967 to Joseph W. (Jr.) & Bernice A. (Lesway) Fraser. On September 30, 1989, he married Kimberly Glenton at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mishawaka. David was employed as a mechanic at Basney Honda for the past 23 years; he was a lifelong member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He was a father figure to several of the neighborhood children, many of whom considered him a second dad. David enjoyed camping, gardening and target shooting and was an avid Cubs, Bears & NASCAR fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. David was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Sherry K. Glenton. He is survived by his wife of almost 25 years, Kim (Glenton) Fraser of Osceola; his sons, A.J., Ryan & Travis Fraser; his parents, Joseph & Bernice Fraser of Granger; sister, Mary (Bret) Kite of Granger; his mother & father-in-law, Tom & Karen Glenton of Largo FL; sister-in-law, Ellen Hook of South Bend and his nephew, Corey Glenton of Evanston IL. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 Monday, August 11, 2014 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4508 Vistula Rd. with calling in the church for one hour prior to Mass. Calling also 4-8pm Sunday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, with a Vigil Service at 7:30pm. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family''s preferred memorials are Queen of Peace Catholic School or the American Heart Association.
