Obituary

David L. Frazier, age 64, of Osceola, passed away at 9:53 pm Sunday, August 8, 2010 in his residence of natural causes. David was born September 28, 1945 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Charles and Bernice M. (Foy) Frazier. On September 28, 1977, David married Jewel Eaton in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Jewel survives, along with their children, Johnnie (Ines) Dudeck of Allen, Texas and Julie (Michael) Suetkamp of Osceola, Indiana. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren; Jason and Joshua Roth, Erik Silquero, Amanda and Bridgette Suetkamp, Jamie, Joanna and David Dudeck, as well as a great granddaughter, Lucie Silquero. Surviving as well are his siblings, Harold (Debbie) Frazier of Elkhart, Daisy Yawkey and Viola "Hopie" Weldy, both of Michigan, and Dorothy Breden of Osceola. David is also survived by 19 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Charles "Butch" Frazier and Robert Frazier and his brother in law, Ralph Breden

Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. There will also be one hour of calling prior to the 10:00 am funeral service on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Interment and Military honors will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens
.

David served his country as a paratrooper and a Drill Sergeant in the U.S. Army. During his two tours in Vietnam, he earned two Purple Hearts, two Bronze Stars for Valor, and the Combat Infantry Badge, before his honorable discharge in 1972
.

He was employed as a truck driver for several years, and most recently was employed by Indiana Transport, delivering RV units throughout the United States. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with his grandkids.
The family wishes to thank the Elkhart staff of the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care for the care and compassion shown to them during their time of need. In David''s memory, contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
