David C. Humphry, 61, of Grand Haven, Michigan and formerly of Granger, died Friday March 11, 2011 at his residence. Born September 8, 1949 in Independence, IA, he was the manager of the Ferrysburg Citgo Petroleum Pipeline Terminal. David enjoyed playing golf, and truly loved his Sunday baseball games, played for years with friends from his youth, and also enjoyed his participation with the Fort Tassinong Muzzleloaders. Survivors include his wife, Marcia; son, Matthew Humphry of Schererville; daughter, Allison (Matthew) Makowski of Granger; his grandchildren, Preston, Evan & Aidan Humphry and Madilyn & Ethan Makowski; his father, Donald C. Humphry of Mountain Home, AR; brothers, Michael Humphry in Maine and Tony (Kelly) Humphry of Brookfield, IL and his sister, Janet (Greg) Johnson of Little Rock, AR. David was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Humphry and brothers, Grant & Kent Humphry. Funeral Services 10:00 Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. with Rev. Msgr. William C. Schooler officiating. Friends may call Wednesday 4-8pm in the funeral home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family's preferred memorial is the American Cancer Society.
