David L. May, Sr., 89, of Osceola, IN passed away on Tuesday December 26, 2023 at home.  He was born on December 29, 1933 in Mishawaka, IN to Charles W. and Ruth I. (Eastburn) May.  He married Betty J. Wiese on February 20, 1954 in Mishawaka.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; his sons: David (Joelyn) May, Jr., Gary May and Brian May; as well as 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  A sister, Peggy Caparone, also survives.

Mr. May was an avid fisherman.  He loved golfing and he hunted in his youth. David was a Boy Scout Leader in the sixties.  He was employed at Uniroyal until his retirement in 1995.

Cremation will take place.  Chapel Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
