David L. Rhodes, 77, of South Bend, died Wednesday November 23, 2016. The Elkhart native was born August 16, 1939 to Herbert & Helen (Milan) Rhodes. On March 15, 1959, David married Judy (Johnson) Rhodes, who preceded him in death on January 8, 2014 after 54 years of marriage. He was proud of his country and was a US Navy Veteran & member of the VFW Post #360. David retired from the RV industry and enjoyed his family & friends, playing bingo and spending time with his grandkids. In addition to his parents and his wife, David was also preceded in death by his brother, Don and his sister, Ruby. Survivors include his children, David L. (Jody) Rhodes, Jr. of South Bend, Georgia "Gigi" (Rocky) Mosby of Woodbridge VA, Dawn (Wally Yeakey) Rhodes of South Bend and Greg Rhodes of Osceola; sisters, Mildred in South Bend and Etta in Goshen; 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Funeral Services 10:00 Wednesday November 30, 2016 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8pm in the funeral home.
