Debra A. Stoner, age 48, of Osceola, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Hospice House in South Bend, after a year long battle with cancer. Debbie was born October 15, 1961 in Logootee, Indiana to Charles and Linda (Horn) Ellis. Her mother, Linda preceded her in death. On August 26, 2000, Debbie married Michael Stoner in Lakeville, Indiana.
Mike survives, along with her children, Nichole (Jim) Temple of Granger, Indiana, Tracey (Josh) Schafer of Walkerton, Indiana, and Joe Rush of Elkhart, Indiana. Debbie is also survived by her grandchildren, Hailey and Jimmy Temple, Alleyah Neumann, Christian Stoner, and her soon to be born grandson, Emmitt Ellis Schafer. Her father Charles Ellis of Walkerton, Indiana survives, along with her sister Theresa (Randy) Hunt of Osceola, and her brother, Rick Ellis of Walkerton, Indiana.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday, March 12, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola.
Debbie was a graduate of North Liberty High School. She was employed by A.M. General Corporation for the past 8 years as an assembler, and a member of the UAW Local # 5. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, being outdoors, shopping and caring for her dogs Emma and Maggie.
