Delores Jean Mathis, 77, of Mishawaka, passed away at 10:34 pm, Saturday, August 23, 2014 in her home. Delores was born on March 7, 1937, in Homestead, KY, the daughter of the late Eugene and Pauline (Hallman) Matthews. She is survived by her husband, John D. Mathis of Mishawaka, four children, Randy A. (Laura) Smith of Flagstaff, AZ, Debbie (Richard) Anderson of Hutto, TX, Chuck (Kay) Smith of Bourbon, IN and Mike (Sarah) Mathis of Mishawaka; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by two sisters. Delores worked in the healthcare industry as a caregiver for many years. She loved camping and her weekly getaway at the Lakeview Campground in Rochester.
