Dennis Lynn Fredrickson, 74, of Elkhart, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, October 24, at Elkhart General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Dennis was born on April 13, 1951, in Elkhart, Indiana, to the late Richard and Doris (Hoffman) Fredrickson. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jaylynn Fredrickson.
A proud graduate of Jimtown High School, Class of 1969, Dennis met the love of his life, Sheila Mayou, and the two were married on July 12, 1969. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family.
Dennis worked for many years as a plant manager, where his leadership and dedication earned the respect of all who worked alongside him. Outside of work, he found joy in fishing, hunting, singing, and karaoke—always ready to share a song or a story.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sheila (Mayou) Fredrickson ; his children,
Lisa (Dave) Stopka, Jeff (Janee) Fredrickson, Lori Burner (Doug Barrier), and Greg Fredrickson; grandchildren Taylor Kline, Jordan (Lucas) Burner, Catherine Stopka, Jazzlynn (Joel) Fredrickson, McKell (Rich) Fredrickson, Sarah Stopka, and Stephanie Urssing; along with six great-grandchildren.
Dennis is also survived by his brothers Bob (Margaret) Fredrickson, Rick Fredrickson (Thomas Horne), and Kenny (Inge) Fredrickson; his sisters Susan (Larry) Newland and Dawn (Dave) Watterson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and associates who will miss him dearly.

No services are scheduled at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
