Diane E. Birdsall, 55, of South Bend, went home Monday December 12, 2016. The South Bend native was born November 4, 1961 to Donald W. & Shirley (Grathwohl) Brooks. A computer analyst for ECI in Elkhart, she enjoyed her work, and also enjoyed caring for & helping others. Diane loved the times spent with family & friends and particularly at the pool and the beach. She is survived by her son, Jean Birdsall of South Bend; her sisters, Denise Birong of Osceola, Darcel (Bill) Esser of Seattle WA and her brother, Doug (Patricia) Brooks of South Bend. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Shirley Ort and her brother, Damon Brooks. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12-8pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy.
