Obituary

Diane Lynn (Ganyard) (Hostetler) Lindsey, 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Center for Hospice care in South Bend, Indiana. Diane was born on October 1, 1956 in Pittsburg, PA, the daughter of Corless W. and Ann B. Ganyard. A native of Elkhart, IN, Diane was currently residing in Paducah, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph E. Lindsey, parents Corless and Ann Ganyard, and her brother Robert Ganyard. Diane is survived by her brother John (Cristi) Ganyard, daughter Megan (Michael) Johnson, son Cameron (Danielle) Hostetler, granddaughters Madyson, Mackenzie, and Marissa Johnson, stepchildren Joe (Tamika) Jenkins, Stephany (Annamarie) Lindsey, and James (Lindsay) Lindsey, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Diane was a 1974 graduate of Elkhart Memorial High School. She went on to study nursing at Ball State University, graduating in 1979. Diane spent 40 years practicing in a diversity of nursing roles; her expressed favorite role was Director of Nursing. Diane was an active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Paducah, Kentucky. She was a devout prayer warrior who served on the missions team as well as the nursing home ministry. Diane loved her family and friends and enjoyed playing cards with them whenever she could. She was loved dearly and will be missed by her family and friends.

Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens and Funeral Homes, located at 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola has been chosen for the arrangements. Visitation will be held at this location two hours prior to the ­­­2:00 PM service on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Burial will immediately follow. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Center for Hospice for their outstanding care and support.
