Obituary

Richard (Dick) Joseph Rabb, born on February 18, 1940, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 after a brief illness. Dick was born in Gladwin, Michigan and moved to Elkhart in 1967. Dick Rabb lived in Elkhart with his wife and three daughters until November of 2004 when he moved to Brooksville, Florida. Dick was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Rabb, his mother, Gloria Rabb a sister, Jane Snyder and a brother, Kirk Rabb.
Dick is survived by his three daughters, Lori (Rick) Fisher of Osceola, Indiana, Kathy (Chris) Neuts of San Jose, California, and Marcia (Rich) Varda of Franklin, Massachusetts. Dick had six grandchildren; Melissa, Brian, and Julia Fisher; Michael, Tyler, and Heather Varda. He also had two great grandchildren, Katelyn and Miley Varda. Dick is also survived by his two brothers, Robert (Diane) Rabb, and George (Debbie) Rabb, and his two sisters, Annette Rabb and Marianne Holder.
Dick enjoyed golfing and photography and was very active in the community where he lived in Florida. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Dick will be buried at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Thursday, July 30, 2009. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the 1:00 pm memorial service on Friday, July 31, 2009 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
In honor of his memory, the family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to: The Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America, or the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care- Elkhart Hospice House.
