Dolores Whitfield, 93, of Elkhart, IN passed away on Monday Dec. 12, 2022 at home.  She was born on May 2, 1929 in Mishawaka, IN to George and Ida (VanCamp) Whitfield.

She is survived by 3 cousins: Bernita Barker, Geneva Rogers and Charles VanCamp; as well as her life-long friends, Wayne and Carol Spore.

She was preceded in death by Her parents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dolores graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1949, then attended secretarial school in South Bend.  She was employed at Ball Band, and, later, Dometic, Corp.

She was a member of Elkhart Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  A Memorial Service will take place at a later date.

Chapel Hill Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
