Dolton went on to be with God Saturday morning at 12:15 am. He has longed to rejoin his beloved wife Frances, since her passing in 2011. Therefore this is a time to celebrate his home going. Surviving him are his son and daughter in law Steve and Debbie Rorie as well as his grand children and great grand children Trace and Stephanie Rorie and their 3 precious little ones, Addison, Caden and Evy. Also surviving is his last living brother, Eulis. Dolton was proceeded in death by his parents Doss and Eveline Rorie, his brothers Tinnie, Onis, Hassel and Lyle as well as his sister Beulah. Dolton's love for God, family, friends, neighbors and coworkers was unrivaled. It was so well communicated through music as the leader of The Singing Rorie's and all the church and community outreach he and Frances so dearly loved. He also devoted his daytime working hours to the Vincent Bach division of Selmer through 4 decades. His coworkers and trainees were all very special to him and remained a regular part of his conversations.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at First General Baptist Church, 11101 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561. Friends may visit on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561.
