Donald Lee Adams, 77, of Elkhart, passed away at 12:55 pm, Saturday, April 13, 2013 in Elkhart General Hospital. Don was born on February 22, 1936 in Akron, IN. the son of Leo and Mary (Ball) Adams. On August 2, 1959, he married Paula Terrell.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Paula, son, Jeff (Jodi) Adams of Elkhart and grandson, Derek Adams of Elkhart. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Adams of Goshen and three siblings, Laura (Leslie) Haney of Goshen, Howard (Kathy) Adams of Houston, TX, and Tom (Beckie) Adams of Muncie, IN. He is preceded in death by is father and a daughter, Beth Ann Adams.

Don worked as a math teacher for Baugo Community Schools for 36 years before his retirement in 1997. He coached girl''s basketball and track at the junior high level. He was a loyal "Jimmie" fan and very active with the schools, even announcing the high school baseball games. Don was also active in the Baugo Township Lion''s Club.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 18, 2013 in James United Methodist Church, 59218 County Road 3, Elkhart with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Rev. Paul Rogers will officiate. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

The family prefers memorial donations to the Baugo Township Loin''s Club.
