Obituary

Donald Arthur Crumb, 74, was called home to our Lord and Savior at 4:30 pm, Thursday, August 18, 2011 in his home surrounded by family. Don was an active member of Osceola United Methodist Church and served the congregation and community faithfully. Don was born on April 12, 1937 in Watervliet, MI, the son of Arthur and Katherine (Smith) Crumb.

He is survived by six children, Dan (Kathy) Crumb of St. Augustine, FL, Tony Gibson (partner Tom Perry) of Chicago, IL, Dave Crumb of Elkhart, Terri Gibson of St. Petersburg, FL, Dennis (Debra) Crumb of St. Joseph, MI and David Gibson of Tampa, FL. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, one great grandchild and a brother, Percy John (Lil) Crumb of Watervliet, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Judith A. Crumb, who passed on March 31, 2010.

Don retired from Bendix after 33.5 years. He started on December 18, 1961. He was an avid fisherman and hunter; he loved the outdoors and enjoyed playing cards and board games with family and friends. He will be missed by all who know him.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, August 22, 2011 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in Osceola United Methodist Church, 431 N. Beech Road, Osceola with one hour of visitation prior. Rev. Bob Vale will officiate. Burial will follow in I.O.O.F. Twin Hill Cemetery, Pennville, IN.

The family prefers memorial donations be sent to Osceola United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46544
