Donald A. Rumpler, 71, of Granger, died at 2:45 am, Tuesday, September 16, 2014. Don was born on August 5, 1943 in Hamilton, OH, the son of the late Donald J. and Dorothy M. (Herklotz) Rumpler. On November 25, 1967, he married Diane Kalil. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Diane; two sons, Bob (Nikki) Rumpler of Plymouth and Curt (Amy) Rumpler of Granger; and two grandchildren, Lauren and Kyle Rumpler. He is also survived by a sister, Jayne (Larry) Slagle of Marion, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Donald J. "DJ" Rumpler. Don graduated from Ross High School in 1962. He served in the National Guard for 6 years and earned the rank of sergeant before his discharge. He previously was the Vice President of Production for PiRod Tower Co., Plymouth, retiring in 2007. Don was a member of the St. Joseph Lodge #45 F & AM Masonic Lodge and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, September 18, 2014 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, September 19, 2014 in the funeral home with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
