Donald J. Wenclaff, age 73, of Decatur, MI passed away on Thursday November 24, 2016 at 9:40 AM in South Bend Memorial Hospital in South Bend. He was born January 11, 1943 to Rudolph and Mary (Michalak) in Blue Island, IL. On February 1, 2013, Donald married Nancy Baker. She survives. Mr. Wenclaff worked for AM General until his retirement. Donald enjoyed working in the yard, remodeling, and playing the slot machines at the casino. There was a special place in his heart for his beloved dogs, Sassy and Percy. Donald is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children, Lisa (Michael) Haynes, Sara (Patrick) Collins both of LaPorte, and Deanna Wardlow of South Bend; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Marlene) Wenclaff of Ft. Wayne; sisters, Marlene (Edward) Gramza of Frankfort, IL, Patricia (David) Grice of Sulpher, LA, and sister-in-law, Deb Wlodarek of South Bend; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Peter (Rita) Michalak, Rudolph Wenclaff, Jr. both of Michigan City, IN, Mary Rose (John) Wolf of Dowagiac, MI, and Charlotte (Edward) Krysek of Dolton, IL. A funeral service in Donald''s honor will be Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 2 PM at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561 with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor John Povolka will officiate with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society, 919 East Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46617.
