Donna J. "Jean" Wells, age 77 of Mishawaka, passed away June 24, 2013 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab in South Bend. Jean was born September 22, 1935 to the late James and Mary Finch in LaPorte, Indiana.

Jean is survived by her children, Dale Wells of South Bend, Michael Wells of Mishawaka, Greg (Janet) Wells, and Kathy Wells, both of South Bend. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son John Wells.

There will be no viewing or services. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Jean was the owner of Mr. Fresh Dairy Store for over 28 years, retiring in 2006. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling. She was a Charter Member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in South Bend, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Jean also loved dogs, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be given in her memory to the St. Joseph County Humane Society, or Pet Refuge of Mishawaka.
