Donna Marie Fields, age 90, of Goshen, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at IU Goshen Health Center. The Miller, South Dakota native was born July 30, 1924 to the late Dietrich and Laura (Winsell) Koch. On October 4, 1942, she married Harold Fields. He preceded her in death in 2010.
Survivors include her children, Rhonda Paul of Kentucky, John "Reg" Fields of Indiana, Jeanie Paul and Ruth Fields, both of Arizona, and her brother, Harold "Crusher" Fields of South Dakota, and her grandchildren; CalebFields of California, Miaka Huss of Virginia, Robert Hale of Arizona, Karaline VanDiepenbos of Indiana, and Kalaine Fields of Indiana, James, Marissa, & Charlene Fields, Jeffrey and Ryan Paul. Surviving as well are her Great-grandchildren; Anna and Mia Sawyer, Addison and Makenzie Fields, and Nathaniel, Nicholas and Annika Hale and Mara VanDiepenbos. She was preceded in death by her siblings Arlene Palmer, Bernadine Moncur and Joyce Greene, her son Robert Fields and her daughter Pegge Joyce (Fields) Boykin.
Visitation will be held from 1-4 pm Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church, 110 South 5th Street, Goshen, Indiana 46528. Reverend Dick Dunn will officiate the 4:00 pm funeral service on Saturday, August 16th; guests are invited to share their thoughts and memories at that time. Interment
will be held the following Monday, August 18, 2014 in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola at 10 am. Please meet at Chapel Hill Funeral Home one half hour prior to the burial on Monday.
Donna''s true calling was as a homemaker; in that role she raised 6 children and 5 grandchildren and nurtured scores of others. She loved philosophy, learning and reading. Donna served as a Chapter
Auxiliary Commander for the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #15 and as the State Auxiliary Commander for the DAV.
