IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donovan M.
Hall
July 25, 1953 – February 7, 2026
Donovan M. Hall, 72, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 7, 2026, after courageously managing several health issues in recent years.
Don was born on July 25, 1953, in Mishawaka, Indiana, and spent his younger years in South Bend. For nearly 30 years, he worked as a Musical Instrument Engineer at the Selmer Corporation's Vincent Bach plant in Elkhart, where his craftsmanship contributed to instruments played by musicians around the world. He was the last technician to examine the saxophones gifted to President Bill Clinton. He also worked on instruments for Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine, Kenny G, and Huey Lewis and the News.
In 1994, he married Theresa (Terri) Blazi, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter in Elkhart.
Don loved his family and friends with all his heart. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and hunter who never missed a Notre Dame football game, faithfully followed the Kansas City Chiefs, and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Known for his quick wit and touch of sarcasm, Don's greatest joy was spending time with those he loved and corresponding with his great-grandson, Bentley, sharing their lives and interests in their letters to one another.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donovan Mac Hall, Sr. and Erma Van Tornhout, and his brother, James Hall.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Terri; daughters Staci Kenney (John) and Stephanie Fuentes Blalock (John); eight grandchildren: Bretten Schrag, Leesha Morris, Bryce Schrag, Celina Schrag, and Holden Schrag; Hannah Nell (Austin), Madison Fuentes, and Elias Fuentes; several great-grandchildren and a great nephew; nieces Lyndsey Hall (Justin Oley) and Melissa Worden (Nick).
Per Don's wishes, there will be no formal service. He is deeply missed. Yet, the warmth of his love and the sound of his laughter will live on in those he touched.
