Doris J. DeLong, 91, of Elkhart, died Sunday December 11, 2016. She was born September 10, 1925 to Albert & Tressie Bushey. A homemaker & member of Pleasant Valley Church, Doris was very active in her church community; she was a member of the Mother''s Club, Women''s Fellowship and she enjoyed serving as a foster parent. Her favorite pastimes included crochet, knitting & sewing and she enjoyed watching sports, particularly the Cubs. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, James DeLong, but is survived by her daughter, Karol (Tom) Erlacher of Elkhart and son, Kim DeLong; grandchildren, Amber (Andrew) Moubray of Edwardsburg, Kayla (Travis) Jenkins of Nappanee, Kyle (Jessica Gunn) Erlacher of Baroda MI; Laci (Warren) Kroll of Vancouver WA; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Chloe, Israel, Elizabeth & Remington, and her brother, George (Sharon) Bushey of Edwardsburg. Funeral Services 10:00 Friday December 16, 2016 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8pm in the funeral home. Interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
