Doris L. Highland, 81, of Mishawaka, passed away at 3:15 pm, Monday, December 7, 2009 in Golden Living Center, Mishawaka. Doris was born on October 26, 1928 in Marked Tree, AK to the late Willie J. and Ila B. (McCullar) Whitlow.
She is survived by four children, Patricia (Bill) Gongwer of Goshen, Glenda (James) Marchand of Osceola, Belinda Matz of Mishawaka and Paul (Tammy) Highland of Mishawaka; nine grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Aubrey (Ollie) Whitlow of Smyrna, TN and Ray (Marilyn) Whitlow of Naples, FL and sister, Mary Ann (Lynn) Highland of North Little Rock, AK.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Asera Care Hospice, 332 West U.S. Hwy 30, Valparaiso, IN 46385.
