Doris J. Tucker, age 92 of Mishawaka, IN passed away May 17, 2023. Born January 29, 1931 in Plana, IL to the late Edmund and Edna (Stretch) Scherer, she was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Clarence J. Myers, second husband Marvin W. Tucker and grandson Matthew Carter. Doris had several hobbies including crocheting, quilting and her lovely tulip beds. She retired as secretary for the Northside Elementary School in Mishawaka and was a life long member of the First English Lutheran Church, where she participated in the choir, taught Sunday School, bible study groups and was also a campfire leader through the years. She is survived by her daughters; Jean (James) Reed, Wanda (John) Carter, Clarice (David) Hamman and son Clarence (Rebecca) Myers Jr. as well as 11 grandchildren; Aaron Bradley, Paul Bradley, Jill (Richard) Kelly, Michael (Jennifer) Carter, Douglas (Angela) Carter, Christopher Hamman, Leah (Larry III) Leslie, Madison Hamman, Heather (Ian) McDougal, Lindsay (Philip) BeMiller, Joshua (Jennifer) Myers and many great and great great grandchildren. Services will be held at the First English Lutheran Church 16495 Ireland Rd. Mishawaka, IN 46544 on Thursday May 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm. There will be a visitation period one hour prior to services from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
