Doris J. (Purucker) Vail, 78, of Elkhart, died Sunday October 23, 2016 at Golden Living Center. The Niles, Michigan native was born September 13, 1938 to Henry R. & Annabelle (Ayres) Purucker. Doris was a homemaker and an animal lover; she enjoyed cooking & baking and also hunting & fishing. She cherished the time spent with friends & family and enjoyed playing yahtzee & cards, especially euchre. In addition to her parents, Doris was also preceded in death by her brothers, Martin & Jerry Purucker and her former husband, Keith A. Vail. Doris is survived by her children, Ricky (Jean) Purucker and Tami (Dave) Thomas, both of Elkhart; Karen Juarez, Keith (Tina) Vail and David (Nickala) Vail, all of Niles and Roger (Fay) Vail of Elkhart; brothers, Richard Purucker, Henry (Linda) Purucker and Bobby Purucker, all of Niles; sisters, Susie Gonzales and Marilyn (Dick) Miller, both of Niles; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
