Dorothy Mae "Dottie" Basham, age 81, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Dottie was born August 22, 1929 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Zue Ena Shubert and raised with her step father Julius Shubert. On July 27, 1964, she married Robert T. Basham. He preceded her in death, November of 2005. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey L. (Betsy) Chandonia of Sandy, Utah, Mark B. (Kim) Chandonia of Kerns, Utah, and children on Bob''s side of the family, Barbara L. DiLorenzo of Osceola, Indiana and Robert D. Basham of South Bend. She is also survived by five grandchildren and fifteen Great grandchildren. Dottie was employed many years as an executive secretary for South Bend Lathe Company. In the late 1970''s, she and Bob began a long and successful career as entrepreneurs in their own right. Dottie enjoyed many things like Golf and the Arts but her greatest love and investment was in her longtime friend and husband Bob.
