Dorothy Nelson, 94, of Elkhart, died peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2017. She was born on July 15, 1923 in South Bend to Frank and Frances (Sherrick) Weber. In 1947, Dorothy married Irvin Nelson and he preceded her in death in 1996. In addition to her husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Grace, Carrie, Louise, Virginia, Frank, Edward, Chester, and Elaine. Dorothy is survived by her sons, James (Joyce) Nelson of Goshen, and Bill (Dawn) Nelson of Osceola; and two grandchildren. Dorothy loved Indiana University basketball and going out to eat. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 5-7 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561.
