Mrs. Dorris Ann Creer, 64, of Elkhart, died Saturday, July 1, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. The New Madrid, Missouri native was born February, 17, 1953 to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Velver and Elsie (Dancler) Dooley. On May 7, 1978, Mrs. Dorris Ann Dooley married Tommy L. Creer and to that union they had two sons. She served as a Certified Nursing Assistant; however her proudest moment was when she graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with her AS in Nursing. She enjoyed taking care of people and was an exceptional nurse for over 30 years. Mrs. Dorris Ann Creer attended Jimtown Schools, and the Canaan Baptist Church. She enjoyed tending to her plants, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Dorris Ann Creer loved cooking and baking-especially for her family which she cherished and loved dearly. She will be missed dearly by her family. She also enjoyed shopping and going to the casino. Mrs. Dorris Ann Creer is survived by her loving husband, Tommy L. Creer; her seven children, Trina Dooley, Jessie Rose, , Yolanda Creer, Mrs. Charity (Anthony) Dooley Hall, Laronda Creer, Antonio (Robin) Creer, and Travis (Melissa) Creer; over 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Ms. Marjorie Dooley and Ms. Lisa Thomas; her brothers, Mr. Jerry Dooley, Mr. Kerry Dooley, Mr. Kenny Dooley, Mr. Billie Dooley, and Mr. Timothy Dooley; and a host of sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Velver and Elsie Dooley; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Carrine Frazier; her grandmother, Mrs. Areedia Dancler; two sisters, Ms. Tonnette Dooley and Ms. Jeanette Jones; and a host of special aunts and uncles. Funeral Services for Mrs. Dorris Ann Creer will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, July 10, 2017 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561 where friends may call from 12-2 PM. Burial will follow the service in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
